Good morning all on this lovely day here in Hyvinkää .I hope all are well and had a good night last night . It seems my joke about living the middle of nowhere ahs raised a few hopes of stories galore ,well I am sorry as there is nothing happening here that didn't happen yesterday .
I don't know if I mentioned the fiasco with the new battery for the Jag ,I bought it just after the car as the old one wouldn¨t pass muster ,that has failed but worse it gave me lots of false reading on the electrics .Now if I put the foglights on the back of the car looks like Blackpool on a dark November night ! Even the revesing lights come on in neutral !
So it is all the testing they have advised in the past to be done again ,the jag forum was a bit bland but I have injected ( see what I did there ?) some of this thread by just passing the time of day and the like .It has gotten me an award for so many likes .Have a great day all .COYB
 
Morning all. Cloudy here, bracing ourselves for storm Babet later today. Got the new glasses, Tried them when I got home, going to take some time to adjust as after trying them when I got home I felt quite queasy.🤢
@blue1948 although the lyrics don’t apply, your nothing happening post brought this song to mind.
Grandson will be here soon wanting his breakfast then off for my weekly natter with my friend.

Afternoon everyone, work session cancelled today so had a nice walk round the Botanic Gardens in Southport and then along the front. Bought some food for the ducks but got mobbed by some pidgeons, luckily ducks would take it from my hand. No jokes about putting it on the bill please. Just got in and it’s started to rain. Got the newly weds coming for tea and really looking forward to catching up with them. Enjoy the rest of the day 💙
 
Hello everybody. How are you all doing. It's been windy here today, nowhere near as cold as yesterday. I had a lovely lunch - garlic mushrooms and yhen pizza in a lovely Italian restaurant. 2 courses £11.95. I reckon there was about 300 years worth of faithful service to HM Land Registry from the 9 people who were there. There was only me and one other person who are still working. 🤣

I hope you have a good time with the newly weds @Val P I hope you are getting used to your glasses @Gwladysover .

I'm becoming increasingly nervous about the derby. I saw Sky ramping up the pro rs bias by referring to one of the refs having been on duty when Pickford did THAT tackle on Van Dijk. You can guarantee that after Kllopp's massive whinge about VAR that they will get every decision and we will get none. However I've left the Everton players in my fantasy team and I've got everything crossed that the cat-hating but otherwise delightful Dom can do it for us.

Trip into town today to get glasses adjusted after feeling as though I was on board ship for the last couple of days, fingers crossed it seems to have worked. Whilst shopping we were at the checkout when a man came up and asked the cashier if she had served a little girl. It was his niece aged 8 and she had gone missing. Cashier said the girl had been left at the till by a woman who told her when she had paid to meet her in the coffee shop. Two questions: One, Why was an eight year old not in school? although there could have been a legitimate reason Two, Why would anyone leave an eight year old alone in a busy city centre shop and go off for a coffee? There really is no excuse for that. I do hope they found her safe and well.
