Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

@blueloon hope you and the family are all ok and coping with storm Babette
Cheers @jazzy , all ok with us. Been out to rescue garden furniture twice, currently pishing it down and windy , not too bad though , had worse, the real bit comes later and fortunately we’re well away from the “Red” warning area. I’m supposed to be running a thing called “ The Dramathon “ on Saturday , a half marathon from Tamdhu distillery , past lots of other distilleries ending at Glenfiddich. Things I do to avoid the Derby , but weather looks grim enough to avoid it.

Good morning. It's absolutely wild this morning here. Our recycle bin blew over during the night so Mr F and I spent a good ten minutes picking up plastic bottles, tin cans etc before I took him to work. Then a gust of wind caught the car door as I was trying to get in and it hit me in the face. I now have a cut on my nose. All this before 7am!
Stay indoors folks.

Morning everyone,

I hope that all my friends on here living in the east of the country are safe and well. Just seen the scenes from Scotland and Whitley Bay and it looks terrible out there. Stay safe guys.

Politics warning for @peteblue . Sorry mate but the overnight by election results brought a warmth to my heart . I cannot wait for the GE to be rid of this corrupt and incompetent government.

Not raining here yet but just a matter of time. So, a quiet day of housework, gym and then an early evening hour down the pub before settling down to a bit of pasta , vino and Steely Dan I think.

Whatever you do , stay dry , safe and have a good day.

Oh dear Anj . So sorry to hear about your injury. I was writing my post when you posted yours . It seems a bit prophetic now.

Please take care.

Ooof, sorry about your injury, hope you’re ok . Our bins have been wedged on their side for the past 24 hours, the fun begins when there are high winds on the day we have to put them out in the street , and chasing recycling stuff down the street becomes a new sport!

Thank you. It's only a little cut but it did hurt. Your day sounds nice.
I too was very happy with the by election results last night. I think even die hard Tories will be appalled at the behaviour of this Government. I'm sure corrupt, self-serving and incompetent wasn't what they signed up for.

Morning all, been pelting down all night and still raining, the wind is starting to pick up now too. Sorry to hear about your argument with the car door @anjelikaferrett, hope your cut heals soon. A day of staying in until school run later I think. I may do a bit of family history, the British Newspaper Archive is well worth the subscription it’s absolute gold for nosey Parkers like me lol.
Have a good day all, despite the weather.💙

Morning all. Sorry to hear about your bump @anjelikaferrett; I’m excited to hear about the snow @blue1948 - it’s such a novelty round here but I bet it’s run of the mill for you. How are the glasses @Gwladysover? I too am warmed by the election results but you can guarantee that if Labour get in next time they won’t be able to look the wrong way without feeling the wrath of our delightful unbiased media.
Stay safe up there @blueloon - it took me a moment to work out why you weren’t running round theatres as I first read it as drama-thon rather than dram-athon - blonde moment. Your day sounds great @jazzy and I hope everyone else has a good Friday too💙
