Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Have I ever mentioned that if Kay has learned another language she might be able to talk in that as it is stored in an unaffected part of the brain . I do hope she is home soon and I fully understand the way you are with your daughter .My thoughts are with you and Kay this morning Pete . 💙

Thanks Blue, but being Welsh she can barely speak English ( just kidding btw). No indication of when she may be home I’m afraid. She was wide awake today, but still has this mucus cough that she can’t seem to shake. I’m sure the antibiotics will eventually sort it though, fingers crossed……

Hey up everyone, how's thee all faring?

What a week, first the tree in front of my flats blew over during the storm, thankfully missed all windows and no structural damage.

Finally bought a coat for Daisy and was trying to take a pic for @Gwladysover and I somehow had deleted the camera app and couldn't get one just yet lol

I ordered over £200 of stuff from amazon, including that coat and I tracked the package, the delivery guy made no effort at all to get that package to me, I watched him pull up, get out of his car and next thing he drives off again and the app said delivered, left behind wheelie bin.

My bell was switched on and the flats door was working. When I went out 30secs later, he'd just left the packages out in full view next to the wheelie bins not even behind, so glad I was tracking it. these delivery drivers are getting ridiculous..

Have a good evening all.

Rob's a bit of a control freak tbh. Only mentioned it to me about 9pm Saturday evening and had me round there at 9am yesterday morning to book the flights. Then he called me at 10 this morning to see if I'd booked the train tickets and airport hotel yet for my return journey (I'm coming back a couple of days before them for logistic reasons). In fairness though I am leaving in a little over 2 weeks so I haven't got that much time to play with anyway.

But yes. I am excited.
Do you need a visa to visit SA?

You know times are-a-changin' when re-filling your pill organizer is one of the highlights of the week.

👨‍⚕️💊🎉
Yep gotta do that for mum too.

Yesterday took her over her tea at 6pm " what are you giving me that for breakfast for ?"

She'd fallen asleep and when she woke up thought it was morning!

It's happened a couple of times now - even though I got her a dementia clock that says morning , afternoon or evening.

Been a very pleasant weather day today but spent 4 hours on one of my least favourite gardening jobs , moving lovely composted soil from the compost tip to a border ready to plant up in spring. It's back breaking work made worse by a puncture on my wheelbarrow 😆.

Done about a third. Fortunately there's no rush and I will just do it but by bit when we have decent weather. The forecast for Christmas Day looks good but I might draw the line !

The wife's brother was a doctor there as well as the Seychelles ( near Zanzibar on the map ) and he said he had the curry of his life in South Africa.
