For their first goal Neville went to ground needlessly, Coleman didn't cut out the cross and the centrebacks had no idea where the strikers were.

For the second goal, Jags was sat too deep, trying to sweep up. It's a common theme. We need to tighten up about cutting out crosses and 'tough tight' marking in the box.

I'd have the Yak too mate. I love him. But I'm getting the impression he's off, sadly.

And in regards to Victor, I raise you this: Vic is 10 years younger. Vic has scored in the last 10 months. Vic hasn't had 1/10th of the game time this season -- especially not up front, nor has he ever really had a sustained run in the team. (Ergo Vic = the future, Saha = the past)

Agreed mate. It does amaze me how we don't stop the cross coming into the penalty area ! Madness ..

Yak is off mate. Yes Vic is younger and yes give him a go ! I was trying to be fair to Saha and LCAB will tell you that that's a first for me !!!
 

What I'd like to know is why the **** Moyes thinks we don't have the players to play 4-4-2? We have some of the best midfielders in the league. Would probably need to change it against the better teams, but does he seriously think we can't match up like for like against Stoke, Birmingham or West Ham? I'd fancy any of our centre mid pairings against them.

I think the reason why we've conceded three own goals in three games is because we're sat so deep. It doesn't take much for a harmless ball into the box to deflect off someone past a helpless Howard. I thought we'd tightened up at the back. If we're struggling to score we atleast need to make sure that we're difficult to score against. It's not good enough.

I know mate but that's his view. Have you ever heard Sharpy on Radio City ? Always says the same thing .. Does my swede in !! Yes we can play 4 in midfield just do it !!

In the past that's what we've had but lately its creeping back in ! I dread Spurs on wednesday !!

That's what Sharpy was saying in the radio commentary against West Ham. I think, because we have five in midfield, some of them think that they can afford to switch off. When we do play two upfront, they never work together as a partnership. With Cahill away for a month, it's worth seeing if Saha and Beckford can build on the promise they showed together over the summer.

We can do it against the big sides. I think Jags was saying on Everton TV that we've been too relaxed in two many games. And on Football Focus today Jenas was saying that players don't want to take it for granted that they'll start every week. They like to be kept on their toes. With nobody pushing Jags and Distin for their shirts, there isn't the pressure to perform.

This is the problem mate. How did Mikel get straight back into our side ? He was playing [Poor language removed] before his sending off we did not lose when he was out the team but he comes straight back in. Yak got 30 mins at West Ham , Saha did not get on yet starts today ? Moyes needs to be more decisive and make people work for the shirt. Bily hasn't really had a sniff this season and we haven't been winning ! If he ain't gonna play then lets try and flog him back to Russia (not that I want to but we need some re-inforcements)...
