A few have mentioned the cost of filling in the dock as adding a significant amount to the overall cost of the stadium build. But architects are trained to work with the landscape. So to me it makes sense to drain and seal the dock and turn it into a ready made underground car park.
If you wanted to build this type of underground structure under an existing building it would cost tens of millions of pounds. Here we have a ready made hole in the ground.
The club could offer a special premium season ticket with some kind of bar scanner which would enable you to drive directly into the underground part of the stadium to your own parking space and take a lift up to the game.
Just an idea.....
Why on earth did you live in Leigh for 25 years?I lived in Leigh for 25 years, there is a Stonebridge cross there on the east lancs, possible it's a different place, unless the road is called Stonebridge cross, either way

Has the 50K been confirmed anywhere?
Iirc they did something along those lines with Liverpool One, there was definitely a dock cause they had to leave some of it viewable
No, because it's not true.
No way would Mr Moshiri build what would be by then only the tenth or eleventh biggest stadium in the country.

Exactly. Liverpool Football Club have never commanded crowds that high regularly either. Their highest home league crowd ever is 58,757 v Chelsea so they should stick to their limitations and 60,000 would be too high with the facts to back it up.
Crowds at Everton are a completely different ball game as our highest league crowd was 78,299 for the very big games (derbies), and back then we could even get 74-76,000 against Preston and Burnley.
Obviously times have changed but there is only one club in the City that's proved they have had the demand for 60 and 70,000 at certain points in our history. That lot aren't even able to sell out 54,000 at the moment. Haven't once got in to the 54,000 region even in their biggest games.
...not one mention of the new ground from Reds in the pub yesterday, fair few comments regarding Seamus Coleman but nothing on Bramley Moore.
