Why? Hand car washes are a pretty recent phenomenon over here precisely due to Eastern European immigration. They've made good use of loads of old petrol station sites killed off by the supermarkets. I really like them, they do a much better job than them crappy automated ones and they're usually pretty reasonably priced, too.

They pay a fairly good wage as well don't they? know a few students who have done seasonal work in them

With the exception of the HUNDREDS of jobs that can't be done anywhere but in the workplace, yes.

Farming? Mining? Building? Policing? Teaching? Nursing? In fact, pretty much any job that doesn't involve sitting in front of computer, which is an awful lot of jobs.

Fairly sure mining is usually done in those remote areas you spoke of. Farming quite probably the same. Teaching and nursing and policing will be anywhere with a community of people.
