Non League Football

I stayed in London after the Palace game as I wanted to go to Corinthian-Casuals but I was thwarted for the third time . First attempt the queen died , second I rearranged my train fare and hotel booking but a tree was uprooted and fell through the clubhouse roof ( I ended up going to a Papa Johns Trophy game at Wimbledon to use the bookings) and then today the game was called off due to the waterlogged pitch. I put all that on Twitter and got the reply “ You shall go to the ball one day Jon” so fair play to their social media people.
I went to Barking FC last night for Ilford v Hullbridge Sports , attendance 78 , 4-0 to Hullbridge when I gave up but it finished 5-1 , that’s the social club in the background.

I ended up at Cheshunt v Hastings United this afternoon, Isthmian League premier division. Hastings took an early lead thanks to more shocking refereeing and won 3-2 , highlight was decent keg ale in the clubhouse Brixton brewery Reliance pale ale £3.90 a pint

Where are they playing mate, Jericho Lane ?

Been going to the football since I was 5, 1997... biggest away win I'd seen was us beating Scunthorpe 5-1 in the cup

All changed today, Bamber Bridge 1-7 Marine and in truth it should have been about 10 or 11.

Poor goalkeeper had a mare. £8 with my Everton Season ticket.

What a cracking weekend.

I played against Corinthian casuals 30 years ago. Did they win the FA cup? I also used to live in barking. The last place I lived in before deciding to move overseas 😂

I looked on their website, neither Corinthians or Casuals won the FA Cup. Casuals won the FA Amateur cup.
I ended up at Sandbach United v Droylesden today after Kidsgrove v Prescot Cables was called off , decent game but I missed 2 goals going for a pint.
