…I lived nearby off Everton Rd and they were by us on the derelict land (ollers). They‘d come into entry by our back yard & my old mum painted ‘this is not a toilet’ on the back wall.
Think parky oller was down that way.
 
….1950s Leyfield Rd, looking back towards where The Bulldog Pub now is. During the war, troops were based behind the houses on the left. A old woman noticed a bloke in her garden looking at the barracks, the police came and got him and the story goes he was a German spy;

Huyton village top one 1920
It was a lovely village when I was a kid ...... The Picture house was named the Ranch as it always showed Cowboy films - a lovely building though - The Majestic - art deco in style ..... Huyton Clinic you had to be a hard knock to go in there - teeth pulling knocked out by gas - feet no anaesthetic - etc not far from the butchers lol
