….I thought Mills was good enough to be involved this season, Zat. I’ve posted about him for 2 years, he just looks right. I think it’s a really bad sign that he went on loan. I’ve always thought he’d make a terrific RB. We know his dad but his brother is one of the country’s top middle distance runners. He’s a terrific athlete and doesn’t lack for a bit of fire in his belly.

We have a low quality squad and he’s deemed not good enough now, I fear this season was his opportunity.
Let’s hope the season loan does for Mills what it did for Branthwaite. Get some games and hopefully come back better prepared

….I have my doubts. We were well covered at CB when Branthwaite went on loan whereas Mills has never been involved despite our lack of attacking options over the past 12 months.

The fact he went on loan whilst Dobbin remained is a bad sign as far as I’m concerned.

You may be right , you may be wrong , the difference I see is Dobbin is older and experienced a loan last season, Mills hasn’t had a full season in men’s football yet. I know you disagree with the loans mate but it’s seen as an essential part of their development. Let’s see how he does this season.

….I don’t disagree with loans per Se, but I look at them historically and with the quality of the squad as far Everton is concerned. We’re not Man City with a high quality 1st team squad, I’m more encouraged when a manager wants access to a youngster at Everton.
