Pre-season: Dynamo Dresden away!

Really hope the lads are only 'half playing'.

If we go out like this when the season starts we are in trouble.

Nope, first goal is all Coleman. He doesn't even look at Stones, he think Stek is coming out to get it. Stones could have read the situation a bit better, but still wouldn't have got across in time.

Davies looked sharp, then. Some neat and tidy touches and overall did 'well'.

Yeh Barkley is capable of that, a moment of magic per-say. But he was poor overall. Again, not concerned, it's pre-season.

Well everything Del did (bar three bad finishes) was as good as it could be. Hopefully he starts tucking them away soon enough (even though he's got 3 in 3 games like)

I'm agreeing with you on all those points mate, but would like to add -

If John had watched the man and not the ball, he would've cleared it.

We need someone with a bit of magic, but granted I do think he needs a rocket or something?

Davies did 'well' for an 18 year old, but the 1st team is about playing 'well'. (Please let's not start putting a burden of expectation on another young player, then when they don't create 'magic' every game, we all start having a pop at them)

3 bad finishes, as you call it, are the difference between being a striker or not. I'd prefer to call it a settling in period, when RK decides his best position.

It was a friendly, some good and bad points and I'm pretty sure Koeman is finding out more and more about his squad, that's the important part of it.

Koeman stated before the game, "we will play a side that will go out to not just win the match but hopefully draw"
he then stated.... " my brother likes short shorts"
Oh he was found wanting !!!

Everton boss Ronald Koeman says that he is pleased that his team were given a tough test against Dynamo Dresden in pre-season this evening.

The Dutchman says that he doesn’t like friendly games to be “too friendly” and was pleased that his side were made to work hard against a side who start their season next weekend.

“I think it was a good game,” said the manager.

“The intensity was high which is what you need in pre-season and it was a good test.

“OK, the result is not what you like to see but we had some good opportunities to score in the second half.

“Overall I’m happy with the intensity as that’s what you like to see in pre-season.

“For most of the players it was good to have 90 minutes because we need that.

“After tomorrow we only have two friendlies so it’s good to give everyone the chance.

“I don’t like friendlies to be too friendly. They start their league next week which means they’re physically stronger than us so we had to work hard.

“We have some good players who can score from free kicks.

“You can win games with set-plays, it’s good to see.”
