Referees v Everton

Not sure what Frank is on about with 2 pens. The first one absolutely no chance. It's a dive clear as day. For me that's gone against him for the second one. Thats a 50/50 for me. Anywhere else on the pitch it's probably a soft free kick. Would have been a very soft penalty though and I'd be fuming if it was against us.
Disagree with you there to be honest RS, but I guess everyone's got an opinion.

It looked like the ref went to blow his whistle and give then pen but bottled it and pointed for a goal kick instead.

Let's be honest if that had happened yo Salah or any Liverpool player down the other end the ref 100% gives the penalty straight away

It was a stonewall penalty. It's not a '50/50' and anyone using the argument 'well he dived earlier in the game so he planted a seed of doubt' or whatever hasn't been watching footy for the last 15 years because that quite literally has no impact if you're a player who plays for a big team.

If that's Mane going through, it's a pen. I'd argue if it was the other night v Leicester and Gordon went through, it's a pen. In fact, he did exactly the same v Burnley and it was a penalty.

We are 18th in the table but in 6th place for the number of penalties received. To put that into perspective, we have scored 13 goals away from home in the League with 4 of those goals coming from the penalty spot.

Then we get the whinging about VAR. Guess which teams benefitted the most from VAR overturns last season Everton and Burnley.

We need to stop blaming the referees and look closer to home.

It would be a very brave ref to give a pen to any opposing side facing Man City and Especially Liverpool and possibly cost them the title, imagine the abuse they would get, we don't do brave refs in this Country.

Big team bias

The fact we have people who still deny it is a good laugh

The likes of Gallagher are really making me start to doubt reality with his bullshit. How can he continue to come out with a straight face and defend the indefensible. It’s all open to manipulation this VAR. Absolute nonsense yet again.

Refs union with Gallagher. No idea why he keeps popping up on things like discussions on decisions. All he does is defend the ref of the day.

Wasnt a dive.

And they've been getting those for decades.

In the last 5 seasons including this season Liverpool have received 31 penalties, We have received 25.

Given the difference in touches in the opposition box I think we have done pretty well.

I'm not just talking about penalties. I'm talking about all decisions, and not just what is given, but more often what's not.

The bias is real. No one can deny it this season.

There is no way if the roles were reversed that EVERYTHING would have been called against us. How is it NOT a foul on Gordon when getting pushed from behind but it's also not a dive? Just that one instance, if it's not a penalty, it's a dive and he's off. Instead, they made NO call at all. Utterly and completely corrupt. It's absolute bullshit.
Souness smirked when asked if it would have been given at the other end and IIRC said Yes.
