If Gordon's right foot goes towards the ball then there is no contact.

His foot doesn't go towards the ball though. It goes across the defender to initiate contact.

So what if he tries to initiate contact, he is trying to draw a foul. It is clever play and happens in every league across the world. He is faster than the defender and can get into a position to induce a foul, which he does. It's a smart move as he should be given the pen.
Why are you trying to hold Gordon to some weird standard when most attacking players do this. I'm not saying I like it but it's the modern game, deal with it.
Perfect example, I respect Coleman for not rolling around on the floor after Jota elbowed him in the grid, but at the same time, I wish he did go down as it's just so much more likely Jota gets sent off.
We are in a fight for our lives and we shouldn't shy away from using tactics the rest of the world uses.
Stop taking screenshots to justify your weird stance it's not a pen, anyone can see it's a pen, souness and carragher both said it's a pen.
I never really bought the corrupt league idea, mostly because I didn't want to believe it, I wanted the game was still pure but watching that game yesterday confirmed it for me. The decisions were appalling. I still can't believe mane wasn't sent off, raise your hand to another players face it is an instant red no questions asked. He did it twice in 30 seconds and not even a check. It's a farce.
To top it off Tyler and Carragher literally couldn't contain their glee at the end, carragher literally referring to Liverpool as 'us' and saying 'where do you want your statue divock' it's a disgrace.
