The injuries are starting to bite but could have rotated more than he did.

Could have gone with Beto, Danjuma, dobbin and chermiti and saved some legs for the league battle. I think Danjuma and Beto did well when they came on and would have been up for it from the off.

Anyway, but for a terrible penalty we would have got through - back to our basics for spurs. Should be 3 at the back with with wingbacks, as it should have been tonight.

A sad night but hardly the end of the world.

We have just won four Premier League in a row without conceding a single goal.

To draw against Fulham at home is not acceptable for a club of Everton's size, but frankly we would have lost against them a few months. Im fact... we DID lose to them a few months ago!
And Fulham are no pushovers; they beat West Ham 5-0 the other week.

We missed Doucoure and Mykolenko last night. Desperately. But the players gave it their all.

The priority for the next couple of seasons is defying the corrupt PL and staying up. That's it. Then hopefully we can push on from there when we have the new stadium.

Squad is getting utterly destroyed by injuries, anybody who uses tonights game against Dyche has a massive agenda and I say that as somebody who has a massive agenda.

Players have given everything recently, no desire from me to dig anybody out, its over, we move.
Agreed.

And I say that as someone who hasn't always been keen on Dyche.

Some of our fans amaze me sometimes. Or are these just WUMs?

People are just angry, the game was there to be won, personally, I think it was a fair result, we didnt really do enough to win IMO, we lacked something, the crowd lacked something, yes we were 1 kick away, but I dunno, everything just felt flat tonight.

But as I said, everybody has given everything the last few weeks, players, manager, now is not the time to start throwing around blame, stay united, us against the world.

It's always easy to criticise in hindsight. He made his decisions - they worked in the last four games and he won't always get it right.

Most will see a game differently but Everton controlled and dominated the game regardless of formation/personnel. Fulhan only looked like scoring in injury time when I think Patterson initially and then Keane blocked goal bound shots. Aside from that, Everton had so many moments where it didn't quite happen mainly due to a lack of quality/composure. E.g., Patterson crossing for Beto but not being on the same page for a tap in.

My main gripe was the choice of Onana as the 5th penalty taker. Dyche always bangs about details why on earth did Tarkowski or Garner not take the 5th penalty? Moreover, Gueye over Pickford - really? Onana clearly didn't know what he was doing on the run up - he fully expected Leno to commit/dive one way early and when he didn't he had no plan B which should surely have been to just pass it into a corner into the side netting - do not pass the ball down the keeper's throat.

Those are the decisions that annoy me but alas we just have to take it on the chin. Season basically over from winning silverware thanks to the lack of details with a focus on staying in the league. So grim and boring.

I don't think we played massively differently to recent games. We played a lot of long balls in those wins also.

Difference was too many poor games on the ball, which can happen, and one very poor game on and off it from Gana (which can also happen, but I personally think he just isn't good enough anymore). Tired and sloppy rather than poor tactics. We are ultimately a pretty average squad that's just won 4 on the bounce without conceding and all in about 2 weeks. Pretty standard that we would have an off game

Now whether his tactics are for you whether winning or losing, that's a different argument and not one I'm bothered about so long as we stay in the league and get into the new stadium

Gana was bloody awful last night, no discipline positional wise and woeful with with the ball

Yep. The whole league seems to be in the midst of a crisis in terms of injuries. Seems higher than normal.

When we score first we win most of the time. And never win when we concede.

Dyche needs to try and change the 2nd one, though I do think a lot more teams, mainly the bottom 10 will set up with Big CB’s against us moving forward. If you can protect your box, win headers and compete at set pieces, then you can nullify this Everton team.

Dyche really hasn’t got a plan B when we go behind. And leaving 2 young strikers on the bench when you’re trying to get to a semi final, was poor imo

Personally think last night was the night to go 3 at the back with Beto and DCL up top to try and bully their defence. With only one of them up there it left the striker isolated and consistently shut out.

Anytime we pressed they flapped. They were there for the taking . Should have been on the front foot . Back to my thoughts of him being a limited manager. Tactics so wrong against a very very average team.
