2024/25 Sean Dyche

State of this forum today is just so demoralising.

Dyche kept us up against the odds. He then took us to 48 points. He did this with very little budget and a very limited squad.

Today we lost a poor game of football. But the state of this forum (and the boos in the ground 25 mins in) would have you think Benitez was still in charge and we're destined for relegation.
Why do people act like he pulled off the great escape?! Joined with 5 games to go, 10 behind safety.

He avoided relegation against utter tripe teams like Sheffield United, Burnley and Luton Town. Stevie Wonder could have led us to safety against them, even with the points deduction

If I was to say to you that you could have Sean Dyche sacked now but in any future game this season you cannot in any way shape or form celebrate anything his Everton team do, would you take that deal?

It’s like forcing myself not to erect in a strip club.

This is pure human right abuse.

Fans would be so so much more forgiving of the result (and even performance) if it didn't include entirely irredeemable players.
Keane is so consistently damaging to the team, his presence makes the team skittish and prone to mistakes, and leads to the fans groaning and criticising, and has this self-fulfilling terrible effect that we've seen consistently for the last 4 years whenever he plays.
Young I have patience for - but literally only if he's playing alongside an otherwise confident back line. With Keane there both him and Tarkowski were terrible. And Holgate really shouldn't even be entertained.
If we had youngsters or players out of position losing 3-0 in the way we had, the fans would have been FAR more forgiving. But Dyche returning to Keane and Holgate totally undermines any sense of progress that keeps the fans onside. A fan booing Harrison at right back is a [Poor language removed], a fan booing Ashley Young getting another red card is fed up.

Sean, mate..

I'm not being funny - but how many non-Prem players are bought in the summer by other teams who go straight into their sides on Day 1?? bloody Brighton had a few of them themselves today!

He clearly has his 'favourites' and it's really as simple as that. He should just admit it at this point and stop making excuses..

Did you clap Kenwright that time?

People are frustrated because that was the most predictably crap performance in years and years of predictably crap performances.
