Was it illegal?Pretty obvious you take no interest in cricket. It was totally out of order to run him out. Funnily it nearly won us the game. We would have lost by 150 before they riled us up.

Once the phase of play has finished Joey the umpire will always call over, but that particular phase of play hadn’t finished - largely because of what Bairstow had done the previous 3 balls (stroll off down the wicket!), then because of Carey’s quick thinking and Bairstow not thinking at all!Lack of knowledge Dave after the 6th ball the umpire if the ball goes through should shout 'Over ' it's the logical thing to do he has pegs in his pocket to count to six ....its a given ....
Absolutely not!Was it illegal?
Not the point, there are certain unwritten rulesWas it illegal?
Bairstow let himself down. The wicket keeper got him good! He was constantly stepping out the crease, he got what was coming. What because I believe we should play within the spirit of the game... ok mate lol. If he is down the wicket trying to hit the ball then it's fine, if he is looking for a run then it's fine. But it was the last ball off the over, the ball has gone miles past him after he leaves it, even the square leg umpire is moving before it hits the stumps. Yes he should have stayed but it's ridiculous with the situation. If that's how they want to win then fine but for me it's pretty embarrassing.
Anyone who watches or plays cricket would have expected the umpire to shout over there
It is the point. The only point. Not the point, there are certain unwritten rules
Razzie or mo you reckon?
Exactly.Absolutely not!
I have not seen the incident so if he never tapped his bat in the crease then he is in the wrong- as a bowler & a batsman - I often asked the umpire things just to make sure - I will watch the highlights tonightOnce the phase of play has finished Joey the umpire will always call over, but that particular phase of play hadn’t finished - largely because of what Bairstow had done the previous 3 balls (stroll off down the wicket!), then because of Carey’s quick thinking and Bairstow not thinking at all!
You tell 'em D. Enough of this "it's just not cricket" malarkey, England need to go full Diego Simeone's Atletico at Anfield and snide the hell out of the Aussies. It is the point. The only point.

As the old saying goes - “look in the book”!
