The Champions League Final - Spurs v The Other Lot.

They'll bottle it. Past 5 years they've had 2 title run ins they choked in and were beaten in three cup finals.

I see no reason why that sequence isn't extended. None at all.

The manager is a serial loser and I fully expect him to leave his losers stink all over that team as they walk out of the dressing room. You need calm in cup finals, not a headless 'kin chicken like that gurning German idiot.

That's all fair and I agree with it mate, but Spurs are as big a bottle jobs as them. Thats my concern. PSG, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, City (and probably even Ajax) would have boxed these off. Fortunately for them they've missed most of the top teams again, faced an under strength Bayern, A Barcelona in transition and a terrible Porto (who'd be relegation fodder in our league).

How's everyone feeling about this then?

My overwhelming thought is "it'll be hilarious if they lose, but not that fussed if they win". The league was the one I was worried about.

Let's be honest, we hear about 2005 every 15 minutes anyway, so what would change really?

My feeling is essentially little to lose the world to gain. If they win it, I will still feel relieved they are over 3 decades since they last won their domestic league, which is what they really want. I'd have probably been disappointed had they not have bottled the league at Goodison and Old Trafford. However that will see me through.

If they lose to an awful Tottenham team it will be hilarious. I suspect crisis hits if that happens. It will be glorious. The only question is how far do they fall this time.

Would love if they lost because of some massive, hilarious blunder. The two corkers from Karius last year will be hard to top tbf

It'd be nice if VVD nodded one into his own next and Alisson fumbled a tame shot that doesn't go fully over the line but goal line technology is on the blink so the ref has to call it and gives the goal.

If Liverpool can’t win it in the first 30 minutes their arses will go. They know Spurs can take it away from them at any point. They’re probably the only team in Europe alongside City that can live with Liverpool physically over 90 minutes. Liverpool will be banking on having the psychological edge and win the game before it starts but at a neutral venue if Spurs can avoid Liverpool’s cocky start then they have a great chance to win it.

The gap could really help Spurs. Also as a team, to begin to see players such as Kane, Vertongen etc gaining fitness on a gradual basis can really help morale.

They could feasible Liverpool 05 it.They are fortunate to be in the final and it's a bit of a once in a lifetime punt to win it.

Something ridiculously ludicrous please, like Leeds goal against Villa.
89th minute, Salah and Dwane Dibley lying in heaps and snidey Ali slots. Spurs don't let them score freely despite Klopp's head falling off.
Every pundit agrees they were robbed. Tears form rivers as the r/s choke.
Pictures start to appear on the internet of grown men crying into their shinpads, protest marches on the Etihad and Chippy Tits' house and the rafatollah is delivered to the pope as blood falls from its eyes.
A nation rejoices, unmentioned by the media.
Dare to dream indeed...

I'm reading reports of no big screens in madrid and the fan zones closing before the match.... It could be absolute carnage over there given how many are travelling without tickets

This is exacty how i feel, there will be a week of OTT nonsense, but then back to the normal attention seeking from them, nothing will change that much

Someone please explain to me why Spurs got moved to the top facilities available in the home changing room area to the cleaners cupboard?

And don't say fan placement as that's BS.

So that when UEFA shoot their winners celebration video after the game the nice home dressing room will be in the background.

Well I half expect them to win on a penalty shoot-out. Like they've won nearly all their cups over the past 20 years. They will then celebrate as if they had won 6-0.

I'd be a lot more nervous if they were playing City, whereas this feels like something of a free hit.

Player for player, there isn't a lot between them, and as many others have mentioned, the long break is definitely to Tottenham's advantage. Liverpool are a momentum team, and they probably would have wanted to play this game the Saturday after league finished, whereas Tottenham were stretched terribly thin and will have been delighted at the prospect of a break.

Like Chelsea last night, Tottenham have one or two that seem to be coming to the end of their cycle at the club, which, added to the fact that Liverpool are heavy favourites, should give them the opportunity to play with very little pressure on their shoulders. There's also the massive psychological boost of Kane's return, although I'd rather see him start on the bench and let Son and Moura run Liverpool's defence for an hour first.

I honestly believe that Klopp will be gone within two years if they lose this. Evans, Houllier, Benitez and Rodgers all went close to a title, and all of them were then chased out soon after.

That's the key part, how they have kept the players fit through the three weeks.
Spurs just need to play there game and not get nervous. I just hope pochettino hasn't been to easy on them, giving the to much rest so there out of shape for the final.
