The Champions League Final - Spurs v The Other Lot.

There is a positive to take from this. It's that that defeat is the end of Spurs as a force in this league, they'll fall away now.

It will be same as it was for us under Moyes after losing the '09 FA Cup final, it felt like a trophy was more far away than ever after coming so close like that yet only to lose out at the last. Moyes never looked or sounded the same again, the team slowly fell away from properly challenging for anything and ultimately everyone just couldn't shake the feeling of what if. It's the manner of that defeat that makes me so sure, Liverpool in the final last year actually played well and that created the belief they could go again like they have. Spurs utterly folded and somewhat embarrassed themselves, the type of game that scars players.

No way they'll finish top 4 next season now, Eriksen will likely leave, maybe Dele Alli too, Loris is finished, Pochettino's mind will almost certainly wander about whether he ought to move on. The door is wide open.

Nevermind.

Poor.

Proud of my team though.

Always will be.

Loads of RS about in central London. So pleased none of them tried to engage in any bantz...think they could tell we weren't really in the mood.

Actually, maybe I would have enjoyed more it if they did.
I'd make sure I wasn't sitting behind any walls tonight if I were you. Hard lines, it was never a pen.

Feel exactly the same

I'll take that bet if you fancy it.

A clever way of looking it. Stops one more club gaining the arrogance/confidence from winning the big pots.

Aren't they getting a kit deal with Nike for £100 million+ a year for 10 years.

I'm guessing that will help with their wage bill.

Ours was reported this week at £9.6 million a year with Umbro, shows the gap on and off the pitch there mate sadly.

That won't be directly affected by this win though as the deal signed. They got to the final last year and essentially could only spend the Coutinho money because of the enormous wage bill. They are in big trouble the day they go out at the group stages, it will cave in as it did under Benitez. We can only hope the league doesn't bail them out again by not imposing the admin points deduction.

You got no mates to celebrate with?

Alisson - £66.8m
Trent - £0
Matip - £0
Van Dijk - £75m
Robertson - £10m
Henderson - £20m
Wijnaldum - £25m
Fabinho - £43.7m
Mane - £34m
Firmino - £29m
Salah - £34m

Total = £337.5m

just a casual £337.5m to win a trophy

well done

in comparison our squad

Pickford - £30m
Coleman - £0.06m
Keane - £30m
Mina - £27.19m
Digne - £18m
Gueye - £9m
Sigurdsson - £45m
Schneiderlin - £24m
Richarlison - £50m
Calvert-Lewin - £1.5m
Bernard - £0

Total = £234.75m

thats more than £100mil less than that lot which is a huge gulf

when you think our squad was able to beat man utd 4-0, beat chelsea 2-0, beat arsenal 1-0, draw 0-0 with liverpool, draw 1-1 at spurs, almost get a point at anfield

liverpool have bought their trophy well done

time for mosh to buy ours :)

See what they have spent in the last 5 seasons vs what we have and their won’t be a big difference

You're an utter embarrassment you lad. Your team just won the champions league and here you are still playing this pathetic game. Not celebrating with mates or anything. Get help lad, call the Samaritans or somthing. Just find somthing to fill that void.

I think poor @HongKongToffee strikes me as a person, who doesn't get out much.It looks like he could do with finding a girlfriend or something.Maybe if he loses his virginity, he might grow up a bit. What a sad sad man.

Had they won that they'd have forever have it over Arsenal, their self-belief and image as a club would skyrocket and just mean they'll be far harder to ever overtake. Next season I think they'll have a massive hangover and finish well outside the top 4.
