The Everton Board Thread

Are they on the board or are you counting chickens?

They don't impress me much either, but them being no better doesn't make this current interim board anymore qualified does it?
But people on here by and large would be overjoyed to have them.

Me, I'd rather have someone who appears to have done a good job on the stadium like Chong.

That sounds more sensible to me.

But look, the only thing that really concerns me is 2 forwards, a LB and CB.

They can have whatever suit they want on that board as far as I'm concerned. My days of studying the changing faces in that place are long gone.

In short I'd say: dont be mithering over who is and who isn't on the board. Cash to the manager and staying out of his way is their number one qualification for me.

Surely BK staying ( while not surprising) would mean we’re confident of no points deduction/ FFP charges and some decent signings to help switch his narrative and fan unrest !?

( Note : this opinion is based on common sense so is definitely moot on any Everton related topic ! )

The exhaustion that is being an Evertonian is constant and relentless

With respect though mate, is it not short term thinking again, as it was last season when in the relegation fight…..if it’s not now when is it the right time to protest the decisions at the club.

I agreed with you last season to secure PL survival, but saying the equivalent of the same thing now suggests to me you’ve seemingly now extended it to this close season as we just need to buy players. Once the season starts are you going to say…’well they need all of our support’, because if that’s the case, it’s just rinse and repeat and there will never be a good time to protest.
No, I wanted the board out and we got it. Kenwright is the turd in the bottom of the toilet bowl that wont flush away. But even there we have assurances he's not lasting too much longer.

The job is all but done apart from the new CEO.

I now want players in. I couldn't care less who gives the nod to them coming in. Theylre all suits and never to be trusted.

I’d agree that his power base has gone.

Yep.

Best mates with Bill and seemingly a quite a slimy character.

Yes, but I think he's right.

Changes have been made. Not a 100% clear-out but enought to n=maybe get competency in there.

We got rid of Sharp (a clueless yes man) and DBB a useless chugger, and Ingles who I have no idea what he did or was supposed to do.

In their place we have people who are used to running a club day to day with hopefully a new CEO who knows the business to come in shortly.

That's progress.

Why would it mean that? Genuinely no idea why it would.

And if Moshiri and Kenwright were confident of something, wouldnt that score the living hell out of you?? It does for me.

Skys reporting is him staying on was interesting. They didn’t seek any input on the pros vs thr cons of him staying on….they heard from TTV. They also said at the top of the news article that he was staying in despite fan protests and that he’d been on the board for 33 years. I thought that latter point was a subtle dig at how long he’d been here.

I knew he was a big shot TV Executive Producer but looking him up I see he's a Scouse Evertonian raised and educated in Netherton/Crosby. His media son & his missus are big Blues judging by the photos. Probably means more to me than to those who know the score with him.
