The Everton Board Thread

Oh stop all your talk about the Championship.

You had us dead and buried last season.

You cant trundle out that sword of Damocles - we're in pre-season.

As for dysfunction: we've taken a step away from that the boardroom changes made and those shortly to come.

Some people aren't happy unless they're flinging themselves off a cliff I suppose...
When people mobilised to protest last January, it was the wrong time for you. When people mobilised after the season, it was still the wrong time for you. Now that people want rid of the parasite, you want to pretend he doesn't matter or that he'll soon be gone. There never appears to be a right time or a place, for you, to remove Kenwright.

One can only draw the logical conclusion from the evidence: you are more sanguine about Kenwright's presence than you ever were about anybody daring to put their heads above the parapet and call for his removal. You are comfortable with Kenwright, and what he represents. Which is just as well, I suppose. He's overseeing our summer of transfers.

The issue is how far away from relegation we are NOW.

To claim that we'll be relegated if Kenwright stays on for a transitional period...you know people have lost their heads when that's proffered as a serious proposition.
The transitional period - everybody accepts - will be for AT LEAST the summer transfer window. Many suspect far longer. A summer of Kenwright wheeling and dealing puts us in grave peril - especially as we all know he'll be looking to make a huge splash somewhere along the line in the hope he can claim credit for a sentimental success or moonshot. So, Richarlison back from Spurs for our complete budget with Jordan Pickford and the first five year's stadium sponsorship thrown in as a sweetener after a dinner with Daniel Levy (paid for by Bill Everton, of course).

As I said above, this 'Kenwright is rotten in the transfer market and that's been the source of our problems' arument is a new one on me.

I'm not buying it.

The only reason to fear his presence is because he's a serial loser.

I genuinely don't understand what/how Kia Joorwhatever is even IN football. He's not an agent, he's a "facilitator". What the crap does that even mean? He's literally banned from being an agent.
People also tend to forget that Joorabchian was a regular guest in the Everton directors box years before Moshiri was involved here.

It's lazy to just use the Iranian connection.

(that's not me defending him BTW, just a reminder)

I wasn’t aware of that. So he was a guest of BK then?

Honestly, no idea.

But as Everton was 'Bill's Club' in every sense pre Moshiri I can't see how he hadn't approved the invites if it wasn't his.

I doubt Moyes would have invited Joorabchian, we didn't have a DoF. Bill fancies himself as a mover and shaker. All clues point to Bill.

It has to be said, The Directors Box regularly has a few agents in, Dele Ali agent was a regular last season, even after the Turkish move. (He describes him as his brother, but Dele isn't his sole client)

Moshiri is clearly a clown, but he's not solely responsible for Joorabchian feeling welcome at Everton.

Let Joorabchian get involved too much apparently. Spaffed ridiculous money on Pepe etc. Worrying.
Yup. One of the lads I work with is an Arsenal fan. Says they have only just started to recover from his mismanagement of their transfers. He spent vast amounts of money on mediocre players referred to him by Joorabchian. We are absolutely finished if we appoint this man
