The Everton Board Thread

I appreciate the effort to contact Sharp however i would be surprised if he responded.

In a way it kind of shows the problem, if he doesn’t make decisions or have any influence, why is he there? Everton need pro active people, people with foresight at board level, people who do have a impact that helps take the club forward collectively , other wise what is the point?

It’s the same with Kenwright, the fans who in the past who have been constantly saying “he doesn’t do anything “ “he’s just a figurehead “. That’s not good enough is it? And in a way you are revealing a bigger issue. The club needs people who actually do have major responsibilities and do them well.

The current situation is basically people receiving an income for placating others and it’s not working , nor will it work because that’s not a base set up for success for the club. That’s a set up to satisfy themselves and not Everton itself . This is why they are acting the way they are , why people who have placated them and been rewarded are staying quiet and this is why the club is the way it is.

A failure to make a reply addressing the salient points would be further evidence of a breakdown in any communications coming from anybody in the club hierarchy. Nobody will take any responsibility due to their own vested financial interests, not the interests of the club. Indeed, it would be further evidence regarding the actual role and purpose of his appointment on the board. What does he actually 'achieve'? Such a shame for him to have been manipulated. If there is a reply I doubt Sharpy will have been the author.

NSNOW published an open letter to non executive director Graeme Sharp this morning. The letter makes four main points to him:
  • Accepting the non-executive director role means accepting responsibility. We urge you to fill the leadership vacuum and to personally communicate with fans now and regularly until the Club is on a more stable footing.
  • We ask you to ensure that the board issues an immediate communication to clarify and bring to a close the allegations that have been so damaging to the Fans’ and the Club’s reputations and, in particular, the alleged headlock incident.
  • We also ask that you formally request the majority shareholder to strengthen the board – with a current board of only three executives and yourself, it is difficult to see how we compete.
  • As part of this, we ask that you formally request that additional non-executive directors are appointed alongside you to broaden the board’s expertise and provide independent oversight to the running and management of the club.
Don't agree at all.

I want Sharp gone like the rest of them . Why would anyone want him to act on behalf of the fans , he's a snake , remember his dismissals on the radio when anyone questioned the club ?
Remember his comments over fans demonstrating ? His silence since the Southampton game ?

He burnt his bridges long ago .

BTW
The board doesn't need strengthening, it needs sacking & a new board in place.

If this game was called Bingo, the above post would be the winner.

SACK THE BOARD
SUPPORT THE TEAM
AND maccavennie

Again Damo, what are "you" expecting him to do?

Hes had ample chances over the years to "make a stand" and the only stand hes ever taken is to crawl further up Bills arse.

He's got to make his position public.

This is the entire point. Stakeholders at the club have the right to request that he does. Under the law.

Is this a joke?

What the hell are you expecting the chocolate teapot to do?

You need to remember @Goat since Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett-Baxendale arranged for the cancellation of the Everton Annual General Meeting (AGM)

This is how things are now. In order to get them to answer questions to shareholders (and fans) people literally have to write to them

They put us all in this position. They are the ones that treated the shareholders and the fans with complete contempt

It is Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett-Baxendale that lobbied for and got the AGMs cancelled. They did.

So people could not ask them questions they would find difficulties answering

What response can anyone envisage?

Here's a clue.

DBB Boxing Day programme notes.
Moshiri every time he communicates or opens his gob.
Good times / bad time Bill.
Sharp after the West Ham game.

The gas-lighting of the fans reported and regurgitated.

Oh. And silence isn't golden it's bloody deafening.

Let's get Graeme Sharp on the record

Let's get him to answer the questions. Given no one can ask him to his face since Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett-Baxendale cancelled the EFC AGM

What are Graeme Sharp's views?

Does he still think the opposition to Bill Kenwright's mismanagement is "one man and his dog"?

Graeme Sharp has legal responsibilities now to shareholders and fans.

It's about time he spoke up to tell people what he thinks in his role.
