Get those bags of prepped veg and just eat a bag of that. Trust me, you won't be hungry.
I like to stir a bit of sauce through it for flavour, to mix it up a bit, like pesto or a sweet chilli sauce. Not much sauce, just enough to coat it.
Up your water intake massively as well. Drinking 2 litres, make it 4. You will be too busy going to the toilet to worry about earing.
When you cut, you are losing the water you natural get from food, a lot of time when you think you are hungry, it is actually thirst.
What does a days cut diet look like please?

Young lads are the worst thing about gyms in 2023 hands down.

The majority of them have no idea what they’re doing and just stand around, scrolling, chatting loudly, leaving the weights they barely used on the floor. Not only are they wasting their time, but they’re making the gym a worse place for everyone else. If I’d behaved like they do when I first started I would have received a stern telling off.

By contrast the girls of the same age work a lot harder and have much better etiquette. No issues with them whatsoever.

To make it worse they’re always staring at the guys who have a bit of muscle. Like stop staring noodle arms and lift some weights ffs lol I’m not one for body shaming at all but their presence makes zero sense and it’s so frustrating, and not to mention dangerous. I’m just counting down the 35 or so days until my membership at the country club starts.
There’s 4 young lads who have just started my gym. Had my earphones in, as the songs changed over, I heard one of them barking and growling. So I lowered my music and heard him saying to one of the others about how much he can lift. Load up 160kg for a deadlift, nearly snapped his back. Then just left the barbell and weights on the floor. Can’t stand young lads in there.

Maintenance is 2800 calories so deficit is between 2300-2500.
Morning
Usually overnight oats with added scoop of protein powder and some frozen fruit. Just bang it together before I go to bed, and good to go in the morning.

Lunch.
Homemade protein packed soup, and a small green salad, or a big ass salad.

Dinner.
Generally whatever I fancy, but mindful of portion size.

Snacks are fruit, oatcakes with homemade low oil hummus, and flavoured veg.
3-4ltrs water a day.
Protein shake before bed.

Then a 5ft 4in girl comes along and lifts that with ease.

I actually mentioned that to my mate, it’s like the roles have reversed. Theresa girls lifting fairly decent weights, then there’s lads bouncing round with key wigs and their super skinny jeans and 26 inch waists. 😂 madness.

I’m glad it’s not just me. It’s really poor that gyms allow it to happen. There’s no reason why people should be in groups of more than 2 or 3.

I feel like in some ways the best way to go may be old school style gyms, but I’m not keen on the atmosphere in those places. Seems there’s always one moody bloke you don’t want to make eye contact with.

I’ve got 3 weeks until my new gym membership starts so I joined the local recreational centre for a week. I knew it was right next to a school, but I happened to go on a day when they finished early. I have never felt more uncomfortable in a gym. I felt like an animal at the zoo ffs.

Of course all the young lads were ‘lifting’ weights far too heavy for them. One of them left 50kg on one side of the squat rack with 0kg on the other end of the barbell. So unbelievably stupid.

I’m so glad I’m getting away from all this as I’m paranoid about getting injured by one of these empty heads.

Any recommendations for a bench?
I just acquired a decent amount of free weights but don’t have a bench
Where are you based? I saw a half decent one in Costco a while ago for about £120.

If you can get one where the seat and back sections are adjusted simultaneously as it automatically gives you the best angle. Old style ones have two separate adjustments and aren’t as good.
