The L.C.A.B. / THT Transfer Window Thread ....

This is all getting a little depressing now. I had thought we might have at least heard something by now, as well. I'll hold my bile until the windows closed and we can assess the situation fully. End of the day if we sign anyone this week now they wont be eligble for the FA Cup clash anyway so it's not imperitive for the next game or anything.

I had heard a few moer rumblings about Dale Jennings though. A friend who's close to TRFC believes a deal will go through this week. No idea how clued up he is though.

Cheers for all the updates though L.C.A.B and THT. I've been looking at the site for awhile now but have only just signed up. Got sick to death of all the idiotic pedantry of Kipper.

Lad , I DON'T FUKN BLAME YOU , Cocka .

I SOOOO DON'T ....

Welcome , my mate .

POST .

I heard the same story , as it goes ,...

Appeciate info, good or bad news, maybe it doesn't sound that way. Frustration not directed at the thread, just trying to reason it out. Winning on Saturday has taken on an even greater signifigance.

Thanks for the welcome LCAB.

David Moyes did say that transfers were unlikely early in the window and usually clubs and players don't really focus until the closing date looms.
At least we are not hearing(as we did in previous windows) that it is unlikely that any business will be done.
At least we are open for business and that is positive.
As usual the last few days will be the most active and interesting.
Take the example of Robbie Keane. It is obvious that he has been very selective about the club he signs for.His demands have been excessive and Spurs have also been making demands regarding the transfer fee.
We now have the situation that Keane has been told his international future is in doubt unless he starts playing every week and Spurs run the risk of an extremel expensive player being left on their books even if he never plays. Both player and club will certainly be forced to moderate their demands or both will be left with egg on their faces.
Iam not saying we will sign Keane...although at this stage we could do worse than a six month loan..but it does show how the focus of players and clubs change as transfer windows start to close.

This will be the case relating to other players as well and maybe David Moyes knows who he wants and is waiting for developments as time runs out for transfers.

It is definately getting into crunch time. I think the next week and a half will definately show where we are going as a club.

As LCAB said, id take £3m in a heartbeat for Neville. Great Servant, Great Captain, but he's 34 and that is good money. Cahill or Jags or dare I say it Heitinga could easily take over the mantle piece. It would be good business for someone we paid £3.5m for and is at the end of their career.

Id fully expect him to be back in a few years when he has retired as a coach or even as a manager.

Hi LCAB first time poster long time lurker, sooooo that one isnt a goer? (after speaking to S). Thanks for the updates not that there is much to say, lets hope there is a few changes in the summer.
