@GrandOldTeam i think your comments about Potters points totals is fair but it doesnt tell the whole story (as above).

Look at Pochettino at Espanyol before joining Southampton. We can also point at Kompany now at Bayern.

Sometimes managers just suit certain teams based on the players, the style they want to play and what theyre trying to achieve.

This is why I'd go for McKenna at Ipswich. Hes been successful with them (2 promotions in 3 years) and has a background of youth football and being an assistant manager at United.

Someone like that has worked from the ground up and has experience leading young players and developing them, as well as experienced top players.

We need to build a new team/squad and get back into the top 6. I think the profile of McKenna suits that objective.

“id”
thankfully TFG don’t go with what fans say on the internet

All comes down to what the new owners want.

If they want to go all guns blazing... personally you look at the top 7 clubs managers and pick someone as good if not better (Pep aside) than them. Then back 'em.

If not, there's plenty to come in for a long term rebuild.

I think if we were to see TFG make a big name appointment then it would be a mistake.

First I think we need someone in to give the team a positive identity and stability while improving year on year.

I think McKenna has shown he can build teams quickly that can compete & that he can get players onside and produce results from day one.

Getting a big name in would i think be wiser once or if we plateau under a McKenna and want to get to the next level again.

I reckon he'd be a good person to come in and rebuild using youth to give the team some freshness and long term hope.

I know why Moyes is sniffing around because he is a better manager than Dyche.

He has previous with us and I understood the fanbase to a degree.

He would be a stopgap for replacing Dyche at the most.

But The Friedkin Group have no association with the club's past so it would be a clean slate for them to appoint their man with their criteria.

I think they will keep both Dyche and Thelwell if they can until we move into Bramley Moore because it's a financial situation they can control and it gives them more time to find their successors.

I just don't think Dyche has long left given his current track record. If we drop into the relegation places, he'll be gone
Truly wish there was a way for Moyes to be a Director of Football/ Sporting Director without it undermining the manager. Think he'd be brilliant in that role.

Funny this as ive been hoping we win today so the Frank shouts stop :p

Dont see it with him at all...no Xfactor.

Think we are a bit off an x factor manager. Frank is adaptable and will go direct and use the crowd when it's needed. He will also make subs and try and change games unlike Dyche.

Think he'd be great for us to get back to consistently being a top half team. After we've achieved that, then we bring in some X factor.

How is Baines doing at underage?
Is there a case for him and Coleman coming in till TFG take over.
It's gonna be a crappy run in December, may as well just bin Dyche off now and give it to the likes of these two for a few weeks.
