Naturally we’ve really suffered these last few years under Moshiri. But believe me with the new ownership and the chance to manage Everton in arguably one of the best football stadiums in Europe, will prove quite a draw for any manager. We just need to hope and pray we stay up this season.
100% agree that and the promise of more money being able to spend on transfers, plus with moshiri leaving will help because has most likely put alot of managers off and the state of the club. Hopefully no charge for psr, new owners will make managers think about everton. Is a great chance to really build something here

Oh so you ignored the rest, good stuff, another Davek.

So you're happy with being called small time by the manager who brought us to the level we are at, putting in cheeky sly bids for our best players and telling them that Everton (which he was managing up until a month ago) are not a good enough team for them? Good, nice, David Moyes FC style logic.

First off, "they're both defensive managers", but it seems all of your education was in football intelligence. No idea why you'd bring up Simeone in this, hilarious to think you equate all 3 in the same bracket and just shows you've not even seen any Atletico Madrid games that haven't been against Real or Barca. Then again, you're the football intelligence megamind, so what does anyone else know, right?

Dyche and Moyes are cut from the same cloth, however Moyes moved past "proper brexit 4-4-2" when he had to, 20 years ago, whereas Dyche never did and never will. The rest - stubbornness, overly-defensive setup and attitude, putting down your own chances, knife to a gunfight, stereotypical signings ("big man up top") - are 90% the same. The other 10% are from Moyes actually managing games better than Dyche, but that's a hilariously low bar.

Dyche is closer to Moyes than you seem to think, Mr. Football Intelligence PhD, and replacing one with the other will be a slight improvement at absolute best and a detriment to any growth for another year or two. Sit with Dyche until the end of the year for stability - okay, sure. Then bring Moyes back in for... stability again? OK.

Haha! What the hell is this? Think you need a timeout hun

Oh, no bringing up a grammatical error truly by your masterful debating skills am i out matched sir!

Simeone is a defensive manager he just manages one of the top teams in spain. Same way Mourinho is a defensive manager even though when he managed real madrid he out scored peps barca 2 out of the 3 years he was there.

Its very funny how you argue against my point and then prove it completely right when talking about simeone, thanks for that!

Moyes stabilise clubs then moves them onto the next level. Did it with us and did it with west ham. Dyche keeps teams in relegation fights going on huge winless streaks then a few games wining streak then loosing streak. Until one season he doesnt have the winning streak and gets the team relegated.

Probably cant see that because youre too busy spell checking people posts on here

I think a lot of fans who remember the 80s etc might not be taking into consideration the circumstances the club was in when Moyes took over. Yes historically ae are one of the best clubs in the world, but we havent been in my lifetime. We were fighting relegation and he got us challenging for Europe. If not for moyes, perhaps that "avoid relegation" boast wouldn't be there. I think you've got to be respectful to his time with us. Sadly we didn't win anything but English football began to take a different shape, where people could buy the league. Now we have a top x number of teams who will always do well because of their finances. Moyes turned the team away from relegation and got us scrapping with the big boys. Still worthy of respect for what he did with us
If it wasn't for Moyes the club might have ended up going bankrupt!

I haven't read the thread, a little busy at the moment; but I saw this thread, and wanted to put something out their a little Leftfield option.

Go with a continental direction (or akin to Brentford)

Choice #1 Ralf Rangnick as Sporting Director, with Thelwell on a 18 month extension as DoF, and Sebastien Hoeness as Coach. This will do away with the pure manager role.

This'll take the heap of responsibility away from the DoF-Manager duality, and gives up to three opinions to be viewed rather it's my way or no-way...

Choice #2 Carlos Corberán, but I'd still look at appointing Rangnick as SD.

Choice #2 Eden Terzić, but I'd still look at appointing Rangnick as SD.

Last option I'd like to see, is Moyes brought back, but in the Head of Recruitment and Academy role, answering to RR and KT (in my dream scenario)

Otherwise, we'll be stuck with a CEO (who will no doubt be influenced by the owner{s}) having to sign off the decisions from someone who is juggling too many plates. A Sporting Director will be like a buffer and 'checks and measures' to the CEO and DoF.

Good wishes all

Anyone who suggests we should have Moyes back should be subject to an immediate ban
Only way i could have taken moyes was if the takeover did not happeb before tfg as would have not been alot wanting to take the job plus the money to pay to bring in a manager. Club has a really big chance if dyche can get us safe and finish the season here. To make big changes with alot of players leaving so can really shape the club. Agree really need a fresh start is plenty of managers out there for us to look at

Ralf Rangnick was awful at Man Utd.

Two options for me.

We go with a big established name, in which case Sarri is the standout

Or we go with a guy with huge potential who's under the radar, in which case we go for Will Still.

Interesting take BStevon,

I don't see how Sarri would get this squad working well, as he is a known taskmaster, and very studious tactician. I'm not sure the players, we have now, would cope well? Maybe a couple of TW's down the road, and when the club has been stabilised. then yes. Plus he'd want a 'war-chest' I'd expect..?

As for Will Still, I don't know enough about him; what makes you plump for him as second choice or the under-the-radar choice Stevon?
