Its funny though, if we had have done all our summer buisness just today, people would be on their knees, wondering what god had looked so favourably on us. As it is, people are watching other clubs clock up huge bills and are getting itchy to do the same.

The glory of deadline day deals. It's exciting... but unrealistic. Chelsea's transfer window looks "poor" now because all of a sudden everyone is judging transfers on today only.

It's backward. On deadline day, we are all just teenagers in the shops spending our parents money glaring at the other kids who got a five or so more.

Its mental, total loss of perspective and the money being bandied round is crazy. I agree with a poster a bit further up, the best way to build an effective team is to buy in players early and get them to gel, this buisness of buying players two or three games into a season doesnt seem all that conducive for team harmony.
