British Columbia will probably remain my fav place of all time, driving route 99,Vancouver Ireland.

bit closer to home,I love the Isle of Arran on the west coast of Scotland.visited it many times.

Haven't done much travelling. Always been short of money or time (usually both).

Went to Argentina in 98. December so it was summer over there. Didn't see much as we were visiting my wife's family in Buenos Aires and principally Mar Del Plata. Lovely place, great people. Beautiful women and I suppose the guys are pretty dishy too if that's what you're looking for.
Was overwhelmed by the hospitality of the people though.
As I said didn't get to see much. I believe Cordoba is lovely. Obviously Iguazu, and my wife raves about Bariloche in the South.

Nice. I read a lot of Bill Bryson, and would love to be a travel writer, but I don't think I could right a decent 'literary thing which is very short'. :(

I'd love to be a travel writer too! I get to travel but only to sporting events, which is brilliant, but I don't really get to see the place as much as I like.

Spent the two best months of my life travelling from Tanzania down to Cape Town beards ago. Absolutely amazing. Everyone should do something like it. Heard from others that SA was awesome too. Hopefully one day I'll get my act together and go back to Africa tho, do some more of that (or more of the same!), and then maybe try across the ocean.

Lucky bugger! What do you do?

Heard the Croatian coast is really nice. Dalmations isn't it? Been sailing a few times in the Ionian islands, would like to head a bit further north one year.

It is a beautiful spot. Flying from Luton it only cost £100 return too in late June which is really cheap. The whole Dalmation coast is superb.

What the weather like in the summer?

Really hot and sunny. Not as hot as say Turkey or Cyprus, but you'll still get yourself a good tan. July and August would be the hottest two months obviously but when i went in June it was fine, one stormy day which was crazy humid.

We went to Lupod Island a few years back for a week, a few miles off the coast from Dubrovnik, very unspoiled, with a rare sandy beach for Croatia, lots of walks, abandoned churches, quiet bars. No motor vehicles allowed other than a few small motorised carts!

Very nice, never ever heard of that place. We took a ferry to an island called Brac which was quite similar. Very local and traditional, but, like much of mainland Croatia pebble and rock beaches. I'd love to go back again, very friendly people too.

Been to loads of places working...including two days to Melbourne with 28 hrs flying either side.
Got Washington, North Carolina, Florida, Johannesburg and just outside. Venice in the next 8 weeks....and Rotherham @roydo

Always liked Eastern Europe, especially Poland, disliked the Middle East and loving RSA.

Really want to do a train across India, plus a trek across Vietnam and Cambodia.
