Wow, lots of love for Budapest here! looking forward to it even more now

Anyone had a poke around the labyrinths under the castle? reading mixed reviews.
As others have said, Budapest is a fantastic city. Didn't go around the labyrinths, but the castle area was lovely. Away from the main attractions we really enjoyed the House of Terror, a museum about life under the Nazis and then Communists - if you go make sure you pick up the written guides in English as most of the rooms only have details in Hungarian - and the Jewish quarter, which has a good museum in a converted synagogue and is good for a wander around. Both of these are on the Pest side of the city.

Vilnius is really nice from what I saw when I was there a few years ago, but I didn't get to actually visit much while I was there :(

Would you rate Berlin over Munich?

I've never been to Munich but being someone who's fascinated but Europe's 20th century history and into tech-house music I can't look past Berlin. It's a massive city with no centre as such with sights spread all over it. It has extensive Underground and overground systems that are very frequent and can get you anywhere in the city.

The tour of the Olympic Stadium was one of the best things I've ever done hearing about why Hitler built it, was he styled it and how he used that and The Mayfield next to it to get inside the subconscious of civilialins to get them to want revenge for WWI. Standing on Hitler's balcony in the stadium felt pretty surreal aswel.

And Friedrichshain is a great party district.

love Berlin. Great city. So is Munich. Munich more picturesque. So much to do in Berlin. We did this Segway tour. It was absolutely amazing and I thought it was going to be absolute rubbish. It was brilliant. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attra...1140342-Reviews-City_Segway_Tours-Berlin.html Speeding along the roads up to all the main monuments etc.. great whistlestop tour of all the landmarks. Highly recommend it.
I hate seeing people on these things when visiting European cities, it's usually fat, arrogant Americans almost knocking people over though lol

yeah me too mate. You look absolute idiots but its surprisingly good fun. They go quite fast too. Hilarious way of getting round. Convenient too.

Special work event. Went last year and it was awesome.

We visited there on the bus when staying on Miami South Beach last February and the most ordinary car we saw there was a Mercedes S500. There was just one narrow public walkway from the main road onto the beach, every other access (from hotels, private blocks) was a secure private gate!

Went on a 3 hour segway tour of Prague earlier this year, so much fun but completely agree they're a pain in the backside when it's not you on them!
haha was in prague myself in may and got annoyed with them fairly quickly.loved prague.cracking city.hell of alot better than i thought it was going to be.
