I cant speak from experience because i've never played as a GK except for in messabouts with my mates when i was younger but to me his positioning is absolutely awful.

I was going to mention after the game in midweek that he tends to invite people to hit a long range effort due to where he stands in his area and although the goals midweek were unsavable at times he did the same again and we got lucky with them hitting the bar.

The hoilett one would have been difficult anyway but he stands like a GK expecting to challenge for a cross when a player is ready to shoot and the taarabt one he was nearly in between the penalty spot and 5 yard line when the ball was on the area.

The thing that baffles me most about this is hes then incredibly reluctant to come out and claim crosses and instead retreats to a deeper position xD its like he is working in an alternate universe were everything is the opposite.

It could be down to him compensating for a lack of pace off his line these days but its a trend hes had his whole career of struggling from long range efforts and now that the spotlight is on his performances more than ever its so noticeable that at least imo his starting position just looks wrong the majority of the time.
