No Jo or Anchibob in your sig mate!

Kenwright in! Hey we finaly got that space we were suspossed to watch at Moyes press conference on fri!

Jo isnt an Everton player in the Summer. Well not for sure anyway, players that arent in my sig, i dislike or they dont have a future at the club.

Talk about a whole thread on stating the obvious

Obviously we need money?
Obviously bill hasnt got it?
Obviously no-one wants to own us?
Obviously Moyes is the best manager since we last won the league?
Obviously We will finish 6th every season until we do get investment?
Obviously she's outta my league, how can i win she keeps draggin me in?

:@

No joke mate, im a huge Bill fan i dont think hes the buissness brain of the century nor do i think hes not without his faults.

I do think he saved the club from the massive pile of Manure we were facing into and for that he will always have my total and utter gratitude and admiration. He put his money were his mouth was and showed the goolies to step up to the plate, in partnership with the manager he is a part of all that we are now, and credit is due.

We have become greedy, i have become greedy i want more! Do i think Bill should go, i do, i and i would assume anyone else who supportes him does as well.

The question is this really do i think he doest have the best intrest of the club at heart, i dont! Do i trust him to do the right thing for the club, i do! Do i think he would step aside if he felt the right man was there to take the club to a level he has said he admittedly cant, i do. Do i think hes holding on to the club to make a mint, or useing it as a "play thing£, i dont" and shame on anyone who does.

I beleive hand on heart, despite what people say they also beleive the above to be true, those who dont i feel sad for them, and i feel sad for the club that many of the values that have been passed down in our traditon have been lost. By turning on one of our own, who i beleive doesnt have an ounce of malice or contempt for our club.

He will step aside and when he does, he will leave a leacey that future generations will enjoy, and the fact he saved, preserved and passed on the traditon of our club for future generations not even born makes the man a legend.

So everyone can get a boner about who we will or wont buy in the summer, and whinge like babies and beg for a billionaire and who knows we may get our wish of a billionaire, and be like Man City or Chelsea and be a part of the Sky Four that we all enjoy giving out about, or maybe a Spurs, Newcastle West Ham who can blow 50 mill in a season.

If that happens, a peice of Everton will be lost, maybe its innevitable, what i felt last Wednsday, was pride, hounor, dignity, and integrity when/if that goes at our club no matter how successfull i will always think fondly of the Kenwright era.

Im not wiriting this to be controverisal as its not my style, nor am i doing it to chime in with what the majority think as im not that easily influenced, what i base my opinion on is the past-whats already occured, the present and the success we have acheived, and the future- and i beleive and trust in Bill to pick the right future for the club.

Legend!

Well said mate.

I honestly think he was trying to draw out "bigger" clubs. If he wanted to move, why didnt he just hand in his transfer request?
What if the shoe was in the other foot and it was one of our players? Would you be happy if they forced the club's hand by handing a transfer request? And if it was as unclear whether the move happens or not, then what? Would you still welcome that player in our squad if the move didn't materialise?

Try to see this from the player's point of view.

Dowing did it this season, and Gareth Barry wanted to go to the [Poor language removed] all summer long - Downing's still playing his heart out for Boro and Barry is leading Villa onto a champions league place (and will still probably leave if the [Poor language removed] are still interested because his contract is up in the summer).

If Arteta wanted to move badly and we werent willing to accept an offer from a club, would you rather him stay or go if he doesnt want to play for us anymore? That's the way I see it.

Moutinho didnt want it enough to move, he's happy where he is. Yes we ****ed up on the financial side, I've no doubt about that. But do you think if Barca offer a lower fee he wouldnt bite their hands off? Course he would. I just believe he was trying to lure out "bigger" clubs (remember Arsenal were rumoured to jump in on him in the summer) and still is IMO.

That's just my opinion of the whole thing.

And how did they benefit from those requests? Moutinho is still loved by his fans, and all he lost is a few Evertonians who think everyone wants to play for Everton, no matter what.

I would have done the same in his shoes. There really is no reason to be stupid.

There are more than just the two possibilities of "I'm completely happy here" and "I won't kick a ball if I don't get a transfer".

Well, Everton is not the biggest name in world football. Of course there are more interesting clubs in the world. He is no fan and he is adored in his current club. You look at this like a fan, not like a player. If you think players see Everton and Barca at the same level, you will constantly be dissapointed when players turn us down.

They benefitted from saying they're open to be bought. Still doesnt mean they hate the club. Dowing was apparantly told about Boro improving but they havent, Barry wanted Champions League footy and would leave if they dont get it. Both are still loved by their fans who understand where they're coming from being that both players have been their since the start of their carreers.

And no I dont think everyone wants to play for us - thats one of the main reasons why our summer was terrible on the transfer front, big players dont wanna play for us.

But to me there's only 2 reasons to move - money being one, the opportunity to play for another club that offers more to the player than where he is at now the other....We failed on both counts to him IMO. Which is why I feel he was keeping an eye elsewhere and wasnt really bothered about coming our way (even though we couldnt afford him/they didnt accept the offer etc). He could've wanted the club to do all they can to make the transfer go through. It was no skin off his nose that the move didnt go through.

And no Everton arent the biggest club in the world, I dont see it like that. But I do hope that when players sign for us they sign because they want to, that it means something for them. I want the player to sign and play for us as if he was going to Barca etc, that its the right thing for him.

And I was looking at it from the players view. If I show interest in a club like Everton, say I wouldnt mind playing for them, and a Barca, Arsenal etc realise I'm up for grabs - mission acomplished, I've put myself on the radar for clubs. That's just my opinion of it all and why he wont be in a blue shirt anytime in the future....minus out lack of finances.

Great post.

I cant believe we are in such a good position, and some fools are STILL MOANING. Seriously, have a look at yourself. WAAAAA I wanna be MAN CITY!!! I want Bellamy WAAAAAAAAA!!!!.

exactly what i am, whilst we are doing well there is not too much wrong, yes we do need more money to spend to compete in the top 4-6 each season but i would not chabge anything at the minute.
