Forgot about that tackle, there a player still in there, if we can get for under 5 million and Martinez can rebuild him, then he would be a great buy

It's the manager's job to manage players, and if other managers don't manage to manage him cleverly then he won't show his true potential. Simple really. (And I managed to get it all in one sentence!) (Then I spoiled it by adding that.) (And this.) (Etc.)
 
Im not too sure how i feel about the prospect of signing young tom.

I mean if roberto wanted him then great, last player we got that was crap from united was gibbo and he's done great.

But if we end up with the same player as united have now then is it really worth it?

Think thats a bit much tbh, but if we are talking £5M ish then id have him definately. Dont think hes pulled up any trees lately but if theres a manager who can make him feel like a world beater and get the best out of him its Martinez.

I absolutely hated Naismith. Didnt have a decent word to say about him. Martinez has completely given that lad what he needed to feel like he belongs here and Naismith was outstanding the later part of the season.

I just hope we get a few new faces in before the WC starts mid June, be lovely to just keep the good feeling going through the whole summer instead of speculation turning to panic as the season creeps nearer.
 

The only way i could stomach seeing cleverly sign would be if he cost no more than 5 mil and comes in along with another top quality sexy foreign midfielder.
 
Dont see the problem with this whatsoever.

Low risk - high reward. If he becomes anywhere near the player SAF proposed he was going to be then he is a potential bargain.

If we sign him and he is a decent squad player, then seriously £8m would be recouped. He is a better player than his ridiculous repuation downgrade suggests. Victim of social media, United haters, and united fans who reject any player who isnt paul scholes.

He's been in enough Capello squads, SAF teams not to be a valuable player.

If it was down to reputation then Glasgow Rangers fans would have had us all convinced that Arteta was a lightweight fancy dan who didnt want to know...
