Had my flights to Krakow in November cancelled today - Zero explanation

Cheers for that

Happened to me last week for our trip to Turkey which was next week. Contacted the airline without getting much joy, went through Love Holidays, who we booked it with, who sent alternative flights for an extra £650 (original flights were £450 for all 3 of us).

Ended up having to cancel the whole holiday and book to go to Bulgaria instead, leaving tomorrow.

Drove down to Salalah last week, close to the border with Yemen. Could have flown down but thought the drive would be a bit of an adventure. (1250kms in a day)
Well.....

However, once I arrived, the next few days were ace. Despite being on the Arabian Peninsular the region is hemmed in by some pretty high cliffs that manages to trap some of the Indian Ocean monsoon season. This makes it surprisingly lush. Not what you think when the Middle East springs to mind.

Ran out of space....

On the drive back went up the coast rather than suffer the tedious drive up through Mars once again and stopped off overnight at a beach where it's known green turtles come ashore to lay eggs. Pretty amazing tbh, must have seen about 25 in all.

Any one been to Tavira in the East Algarve? Going beginning of Sept so any suggestions on possible places to eat and drink much appreciated. As is any suggestions for days out and about by public transport. Cheers.

You can get the train to Vilareal 25 mi sl then the ferry over to Ayamonte.

Cabanas is nice for an evening out loads of nice restaurants there. Only 10 mins away.

You can get the bus to Seville from Tavira bus station, 90 min journey.

Sta Luzia is not too far away nice little fishing village.

Loads of good restaurants in Tavira you'll be spoilt for choice.
