I'm talking about recently, after Moyes and more about the nonsense that is PL experience.

Lets look completely away from the PL
Our last 5 managers have had PL experience and it counts for nothing.

i agree the PL experience line is complete BS

Photographed recently taking the knock in a young lady’s hotel room ! Just the man to come in and bring some stability to this mess of a club . Not !

Is there this weird parallel reality where Rooney is some Everton hero that the fans love?
People forget he’s a pretty divisive figure amongst Everton fans. Also not sure how good relations were between him and the hierarchy after they moved him on?

I’d probably take him but right now I’d take the manager of the local U12s team.

Instead of a big Hollywood name cant we just have a good manager, was willing to give Benitez a chance, even though he wasn't my choice, but looks like that's backfired. Was contemplating Nuno before Benitez, but I'm coming around to Potter now, he plays attractive football seems to make players play better, not a Hollywood name but that never worked out either did it.
If you were Potter, honestly, would you swap a stable position at a progressive club for us?

Spud head is doing decent at derby giving the circumstances tbf, still a long way of this level though
Yeah hes doing well enough considering the problems they have. His off field antics are a bit of a distraction and I think he’d need to sort that out before he ever thinks about managing in the PL.

I’m coming round to the idea of getting a younger manager in with fresh ideas but whether Rooney is the right candidate I’m not so sure.

Rangers took a chance on Gerrard and that worked out well for them; and for him withhis move to Villa.

We're in no better position then Rangers were, why not take that chance?

Done okay this season in tough circumstances but very lucky not to go down last season with what was a decent Championship level side.

Boost for 3 games then chaos and a deepening of the old boys network that would sink the club before the stadium was built. Franny Jeffers back as DoF; Colleen as CEO.

Stick with Benitez and let's see this Rafalution through.
Colleen as CEO is probably the most sane proposal here.

I of course jest. If Rooney is excelling at management over several seasons then yes, but not right now even though he's got Derby performing better than they should be with the 19 points deduction, half a squad and that awful owner (which probably is an ideal thing on a manager's cv).

No thanks, the club would be a sideshow for whatever his latest fk up was or his missus latest photo.
Not a really good example to young players , saying that didn't stop , baxter, Jeffery ect on that score getting a job at the madhouse.
