Catterick was average as a player and won nothing...and yetDon't disagree mate.
Similar could be said of Steve Bruce, Bryan Robson, Mark Hughes, OGS, etc.

Plenty of others too.Catterick was average as a player and won nothing...and yet
Zidane says differently. Was a good player but brain dead. You need a certain level of intelligence to manage.
If he’s doing well as a manager for a couple of years then why not. Too early just now and would be a massive gamble. Seems totally at odds with Moshiri’s thinking as well since Silva but he’s running out of options.I would love Rooney here, but not for another 2/3 years and only if he has done a decent job at Derby or another club if he moves. I hope the lad does well and if he does, why not take a chance on him.
NoWhat about Rooney with someone like Joe Royle acting as a mentor?
If it happens, I insist that we have a grannies pen for all of Wayne’s elderly female fans.
Howard Kendall didn't do too bad and Joe Royle had a little bash too so maybe Wazza is the man.I don’t want him however history shows we’ve never won anything without an ex blue at the helm so to a degree yes we are .
