No one's fault really - this is life. I don't ever really think Lukaku has seen his long term future here - he wants CL football asap not in 4/5 years when a still theoretical stadium may have been built and propelled EFC to the number 1 European football power :dodgy:.

He'll be 28 then so you never know we might buy him back at his peak. The stadium is the game changer for Everton but your general fan, a bit like Lukaku, only sees the here and now.

He and his agent have led club to believe he was signing - what more were the club to do ? Spend more money on players possibly in contravention of FFP ? The club has taken good steps, more needed but those expecting a City style investment will be disappointed no doubt.

Moshiri isn't going to blow his fortune on us. Each pound he spends/sanctions will be on the basis of getting a pound+ back.

We don't have any plausible back-up for Lukaku, if you're in his shoes that means next season he faces being flogged to death across all competitions including the Europa ball and chain contest.

Who do you think would he would have joined last summer if that's the reason he didn't ?

Raiola earned an estimated 30 mil last season on deals on 3 of his 5 biggest names. You saw Pogba and Lukaku on holiday together on the off season last year?

Im going to nail my bottom to the mast here and suggest this year you'll see Lukaku to United. Ibra will either stay or go and Rooney is either coming back or off to China or the US. They broke the bank for Pogba last year and they'll do it again to reunite Mourinho and Lukaku in an all is forgiven made for Sky ratings fap fest.

Lukaku probably wants to move on for guaranteed champs league footy, he doesn't see it happening with us, we've probably tried to convince him he can get it with us and we've offered him a big payday of a contract to boot, looks like he's not convinced, we hold firm on the fee we want for him, we sell and move on.

The media are making it out to be bigger than it actually is.

No one is to blame. Football is a business; a massive business. It deals in players' contracts, and all that implies. We, as fans, may be emotionally involved with the Club, but the main players in this little epic,(Lukaku and Raiola, the Clubs' negotiating team), aren't. It's just business.

You mean his Agent would rather his clients played for a club that earns 500m a year or a club that earns 120m a year.

Answers on a postcard.
