Duncan Ferguson For Leadership?

Would you give Big Dunc the job until at least the end of the season, possibly for the forseeable?

Duncan is currently our assistant manager. If he cant provide some leadership from that position, i doubt he will as a manager. Im at the point where Id take him over Benny, but thats more because of how terrible Benny is than any fantasy of Duncan being a good manager.

We've gone through many different managerial appointments under the moshiri regime.

Whatever caliber of manager we've appointed, nothing has worked.

Do you believe it's time for Big Dunc to inject his passion into this club once more, as our leader?
If it is the same passion he showed when being 'injured' in his playing days you can keep it. Most of his career with us was far from stunning. When he could be bothered he was brilliant...when. He has no record to give him the job.

Always been a massive Dunc fan and possibly would given him a chance when he was caretaker, but the longer he’s here the less I want him to take over.
Disappointed that he hasn’t gone out and managed someone for experience and to prove himself.
Hate to say it but Gerrard has the balls to do the rounds in the hope of his dream job. Dunc will not take that risk. Says it all.

not a fan of this fella at all but desperate times call for desperate measures. Let him take charge until someone can be found then he needs punting out the club as well.

Its a Big No for me, and he should be gone as well, he should be gone every boss that goes, and should not be forced on all new managers

I'd give him it interim and by that I mean like 3 games. Give it to him for any longer that that and we are heading for even bigger struggles.

It's like playing footy manager and giving the team talk, "do it for the fans". Works for a short period maybe, but tactics and a competent manager are required permanently.

I do not think Big Dunc is the solution to our problems. I think he is the solution to our current problem. As soon as the team arrive back in Liverpool he should be called in and told he is taking over and Benitez should be shown the door. Do not wait until tomorrow, do it now.
We can’t let Benitez spend anymore money or do anymore damage. We can’t allow whoever is choosing our managers to choose the next one.

The phrase “just give it to Dunc” winds me right up.

It smacks of apathy and desperation.

I much prefer “We should appoint Duncan Ferguson to be our next manager “.

Personally, I’d have him and Rooney now.. The job he’s doing at Derby is some leadership btw.
You're right about Rooney doing a terrific job at Derby.

Far more problems and much greater handicaps than Benitez has faced at Everton. He's had a 39 year old Jagielka playing CB and has got them out of the relegation zone playing positive football despite a 21 point deduction and transfer embargo. And now they've lost Jagielka 'cos they couldn't provide proof of funds for a further 6 month deal. That's the state they're in.

If Everton dangled a 1.5 year deal with further 2 year option or similar it could be a low risk solution. Similar to what Chelsea did with Lampard. People berate the squad but there's more than enough quality to be better than they currently are with a competent manager.

I honestly never get this thing about he or anyone else is a "Big Blue", as if that is good enough for him to be here, get the job, be given a chance etc, that is one of the worst things i hate myself
