Could be that as we are constantly reminded... its a result business and you die by your results.....
19 hamstrings in a year
lots of break downs of recent injuries

he is the head of medicine and has to be accountable for injuries ..... or are we unlucky
Exactly. He's sounds like a rubbish physio.

Well in Roberto, I hope you threw his cases after him when you kicked his arse out the door.

Barkley has been utter gash for most of this season, yet you're completely letting him off the hook and instead blaming Naismith (??!!) and the manager for his poor form.

He's been injured and played out of position for most of this season as well.

I want the best players playing not players playing based on purple patches. The amount of fans on here who defended jelavic to the hilt and how "he would come good" based on his purple patch. Evertonians have form for confusing form with genuine ability.

You have absolutely no idea about football have you.... Lol.

Barkley in the side- lukaku slots we finished 5th.

Barkley on the wing, naismith behind the striker- lukaku ain't scoring- 5 points off relegation zone.

I'm not losing the argument mate the facts speak for themselves and they are we are W@nk right now

Stop going on about 'purple patches', as if Naismith is some kind of lucky player picked on reputation.

He's a good player who does a good job for the team and never lets us down, and who has come up with important goals on lots of occasions.

If Barkley is the supposed brilliant £50m+ player you say he is, he should be able to handle being played out of position and at the very least not stinking the gaff out.

And no, it's not ideal he's been played out of position, but as I previously posted - he hasn't exactly pulled up any trees on the occasions he has played in the middle either.

Barkley has been rubbish for most of the season, regardless of where he's been played, as has Lukaku.

Naismith is not a barrier to Barkley being played centrally. If anything, Eto'o is the barrier. Barkley has been played out wide to accommodate Eto'o. Lukaku has been woeful for most of the season.

You realise the head of medicine doesn't plan training sessions...

You do realise that we've never had this trouble before with hamstring injuries.

19 in a year and very few prior...Mmmm. ..

We haven't won a game he has scored in this season....

Getting silly all this point scoring lads ( on here, not on the pitch sic).....why does every little story have to become a stick to beat someone involved with the Club with.....all sounds very self-destruct to me.....why are some so keen to continually neg Everton?

Moyes had a terrible few seasons with them. Hence the 'prehabilitation' regime he brought in.

Maybe that was Martinez's fault too?

Shock horror a player returning from knee ligament damage isn't on top form mate, he still has 10x the ability Naismith will ever have and it's criminal how's he's been played out of position.

Last season he tore sides like man city, Arsenal, RS at Goodison, Newcastle etc. New arseholes because martinez was brave and gave him that role.

This season Naismith scores a few goals (whilst hampering lukaku in the process) and instead of dropping striker for striker and moving rom to the bench "big brave" Roberto moves ross out wide to try squeeze Naismith into a role he isn't effective in, which then not only effects the service to Rom but also barkleys performances and the fullback on ross's side due to him coming in central leaving him exposed whilst ross himself and Naismith get in each others way and we are penned in with no width, we then pass it around then hey presto pressed by the opposition then concede. Likewise with eto'o on the opposite flank and coleman.

The fact everton fans can't see this is frightening. Just because Naismith works hard for the team doesn't mean he's better for it, Schurrle is far more of a player than willian yet who starts? Mourinho keeps it BALANCED that's why willian starts no matter how many sexy goals Schurrle score's on the highlight reel.

Naismith should either be a super sub or as the striker leading the line not a CAM and it's proof that Martinez has become more like David moyes in terms of bottling the big decisions this season, yet again no one mentions this.

Lol. You're a tit.

Naismith started 13 games last season. We won 8 of them and lost 5, and the losses included City, Chelsea, and Spurs away. We got good results with him in the team, arguably better than with Ross.

You associate medicine with recovery, not prevention. Would these injuries especially hamstring be due to over working at the fitness regime?? Would it not be the fault of the fitness team??

It's frightening how much you want to frame Naismith as some sort of scapegoat. Naismith is a huge asset to the team.

I'd rather he was in the team than Barkley at the moment.

Anyway, I have no idea what any of this has to do with Danny Donachie leaving so we should leave it there eh? Taking the thread way off track.
