Should be an easy victory and we should wrap up the tie in convincing fashion. Hopefully Moyes will shake it up a bit now we have a full strength team. So i would go with:

Howard

Hibbo (Replacing the god awful Neville)
Jag
Yobo
Lescott

Arteta
Osman
Carsley
Pienaar (Replacing the increasingly dreadful performances of #23)

Cahill
Yak

I'd expect us to play 4-4-2 to be honest with AJ and Yak leading the line then I expect us to go back to 4-5-1 against City.

On Fernandes and Neville. I don't think anyone's put in any good individual performances of late so it would be unfair to single anyone out. Osman, Fernandes, Carsley, Cahill, Arteta and Neville have all been as bad as each other over this grinding out period.

I try and be as patient as possible with fans who quite clearly havent got a 1st clue. So we keep playing someone who isnt playing well? Or do we play the players who have been playing well and got us into the position we are in now. And people question why football doesnt take off in the states!!

Remember us peons who don't understand the game of football as well as you do and certainly can't tell when we watch the game who's playing well and who hasn't been. Wow. And thank you for being patient with us. I don't know how we made it until you came along to show us the errors of our ways.

If that was the case then none of our midfield would be playing. Osman, Fernandes, Arteta, Carsley and Cahill has all been as bad as each other so if it was down to form then we'd be dropping all of them.

I think we'll get a good idea after the Brann game. For me Arteta and Pienaar are guaranteed as are Cahill and Carsley but the centre midfield is up for grabs. Depending on who performs better out of Fernandes and Osman I'd expect to start against City.

cmon neville has been atrocious for a long while every pass, well mostly every single pass is given away, more especially in dangerous areas,how the hell did he even become a professional in the first place lol

Manny, I do think he will pull through in the end, he hasnt been brilliant no, but then so many people expected him to be..when you hype some one of his potential quality *i say potential here, because I genuinely believe, once moyes has finished with him, he will be playing out of his skin for us...or he wont be signed come the summer*.

I Think with so many people expecting or being overly optimistic of this player, when he doesnt perform, hell he is still settling in again, and getting used to way of things i suppose..I am not defending him, but he doesnt deserve a lynch mob after him. You raise your expectations to high your liable for a big fall at some point, so I say give him more than 3 or 4 games, give him to the end of the season, if he is still not performing then he wont be signed and someone else will.

Problem is there are people who expect Manny to be on the top of his game from day one and that just wasn't gonna happen.

yeps your right there tex...and these same people who are now after him like a lynch mob shocking. I remember saying something bad about piennar but you know he has come on leaps and bounds under moyes, and I really miss him in the midfield, he brings a lot of great play making.

If we go 442, then the only one who really shouldnt fit in the team is cahill who is as we all know suited to 451..id still play him, as for carsley umm is all i can say, because I am concerned about him a lot, he is a powerful workhorse with no legs against the really good players, and since we are going to be challenging the good teams we need a player that can take his role and skin anything coming through the middle.

Thank god I am not a manager lol id get us relegated into non existance hehe

I guess I'd like supporters to give a player a bit of time to settle in to show what they can do.

Yeah, if Manny doesn't improve over the rest of the season and plays like we know he can and how we saw him play last year, well sure, he'll come in for it from the supporters and Moyes probably wouldn't sign him.

But....Pienaar got time to settle in. Yakubu got time to settle in. Jagielka got time to settle in. Manny should get time to settle in.

when we're in the champions league against barcelona for instance, then maybe our new all star player might get a shot.

few doubted yaks ability, just his character and temperament.

munny hasnt endeared himself to the supporters yet, his turn around in the summer isnt easily forgot, and his lapses last season count against him. that he hasnt been anything like as good his inclement form from last season is really saying something.

he'll get till the end of the season, and maybe he will come good.

i cant forgive a player with no heart, and munny has shown little if any as yet.

umm I hope moyes has made the right decision and trust he has, maybe he has already done a deal behind the scenes for another player come the summer who knows, it would make sense signing cars to slowly bring in the new player if you know what I mean . Whats even more exciting is not only talking about replacements and players but where we have ended up with the squad! I mean wow champions league next season a good possibilty *fingers and toes crossed no more injuries* and with the chance of winning the uefa cup this season..its completely mind blowing considering where have come from in the past 10 so or years.

I also cant believe how time as flown and moyes has been with us for 6 years 0.o Time flies with moysie and the team hehe.
