Does nothing right. Gets beat in the air. Frequently loses his man. Charges in and misses tackles. Gets turned as easily now as when Lukaku did it to him when he was at Burnley.

    2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

The whole squad isn't a great standard so I don't get why Dom gets so much stick for not being Everton quality. Other than Lukaku and one or two good seasons from a couple of others we mostly haven't had good strikers for about 25 years.

...Moshiri, Giroud pulling out of a deal because his wife didn't want to move up here - he would have made a world of difference in that post Lukaku era. Zidane calling time at RM which meant we lost Ancelotti one season earlier than we should have. That team was two players short of being a...

I disagree, he seems a nice guy and he has a hard man edge. Which is interesting. Too often, I felt he let his team mates down, fans down, apart from 3 isolated seasons the team performance was mediocre while he was a player at the club. Imho.

    Anders Limpar !!

Only three times I can remember the feeling of everyone we got the ball we had them panicking. The AJ derby, The 3-3 one with Lukaku and that Kanchelskis one. All three of those have them the feeling we've had way too often of this could be a battering

    2024/25 Sean Dyche

I'm not sure Dyche is the one who did that mate, we've all seen this squad try to play football and we all know about 50% of the overall story of what's going on behind the scenes. The 50% we know of is tragic.

    2024/25 Sean Dyche

Our problem is since we sold Lukaku, we don't take our chances. Fulham and Wolves at home were a classic example. I don't think we are as bad as some people make out on here, we nearly got a draw at Arsenal without a bad VAR decision. My issue with Dyche is his tactics are completely reliant on...

...with attacks that ended up over/underhit you'd ask yourself how as it was easier to put it in but he just didn't look up every time. Remember Lukaku being very animated about those  as he was for most things he didn't like. Either way, that's a lifetime ago now and he's in the (sad)...

I think it's unfair to compare Coleman to the second best full back the premier league's ever seen mate.

...the most serious link - to Bayern. I know how this works and I do remember his goal vs Swansea and those few highlight crosses on the head of Lukaku et al, true, but Baines did it better and more consistently while still having the pace and presence - realistically also why Baines was linked...

So right. I long for the days of Osman running rings round second string Ukrainian farmers, or discussing whether Lukaku looked like a tranny in the club Christmas video.

    2024/25 Sean Dyche

Very true this. We’ve become used to watching mediocrity for so long that we’ve come to accept it. The club motto is a joke now.

...of top quality attacking players. Throughout our prem history there’s a handful of top class attackers. Kanchelskis Rooney Yakubu Mirallas Lukaku Barkley Richarlison James, and some didn’t stick round for long and two were from the academy. We’ve not invested what little money we’ve had (on...
