If we don’t get a left back in, questions must be asked of our manager and DOF whether they are fit for purpose in the roles they have. It it scandalous we have got this far into the window, with still no left back signed and Martina putting in poor performances week in week out.

I agree to a point. But imagine the difference to our team this season if we’d signed McGuire and Robertson from hull for the same price as Keane. There are some good players from lower clubs, it’s just that we have signed the wrong players.

I’m not adverse to him going out on loan, far from it. Just not to a team just below us in the league. If we had a bigger points gap away from the relegation threatened teams, then I might think differently.

With our current form, we might be in a relegation fight with Newcastle. For that reason I’d loathe him to go to Newcastle and help benetiz out of the hole he is in.

I’m sure if Liam Walsh was allowed to leave, then I’m sure we’d entertain offers for Evans. That’s not a criticism of Evans, moreso that Walsh in my mind was closer to the first team then Evans.

Would Walcott improve the starting 11? No doubt in my mind. Could we find a younger cheaper version from abroad or the championship? Debatable. However Steve Walsh isn’t exactly unearthing hidden gems, like his Leicester day’s with our purchases so far.
