We needed to move on from Moyes when he left and "push on". We threatened to do that with Martinez.

Ultimately since he left, we've been a basket case and he's managed arguably the largest club in the world (who were also appallingly managed), he took a gamble in Spain, then inherited a mess with Sunderland and West Ham.

He's done remarkably well with West Ham - the sort of turnaround we could do with now.

He was always a steady hand on the tiller, it's been anything but since.

Didn't want him to leave and I'd have him back (but hoping that Lampard does a great job by winning us some trophies and stays for ten years)

`cept Rooney. he hardly played him even though the kid was a monster. Rooneys first game for Man U and he goes and scores a hat-trick yet our Moe Syzlak lookalike didnt think he was ready for regular game time.
He knew very well how good Rooney was, it was obvious rooney was groomed by moyes for a sale to man u.

yes. the plot thickens! he deffo ran Rooney out of the club when everyone and their dog knew The Boy was one of the best players in the world but couldn`t get a regular starting place at EFC

Said this time and time again.

Moving on from Moyes was the right thing to do.

It’s a real perspective thing for Moyes, there were positives and negatives.

Without Moyes, we sink without hope, but hindsight means that we’re still lumbered with Blue Bill. He did save us, when Blue Bill wanted Megson, and done it repeatedly on a shoestring.

He had his ceiling, and I felt he took us as far as he could. He was a big time bottle merchant and his insistence on mentality like “Knives to a Gunfight”, clearly left a lasting effect on the place.

The way he acted when he left was appalling and that’s unforgivable for me.

Thanks for saving us, giving us some nice memories, but your tenure will always be remembered as 11-years no trophies with the best Everton squad I’ve ever seen (and yes, credit because he assembled that on his own).

Of course, he was a good manager, but he didn't care less about Everton's long-term future.

He protected Kenwright from the fans, to the point of championing a stadium that would have killed the club, all the while taking plaudits for working under the financial constraints that we wanted to put an end to.

In short, he fell in love with how big he looked standing next to little Everton.
This.
